PUMPKINS

This year we've grown even more pumpkins than before - we have carving pumpkins ranging from so small they'll fit in a toddlers hand up to ones that will fill a wheelbarrow! We have also grown even more of the delicious eating varieties this year and lots of different decorative pumpkins - all shapes, colours and sizes! There's a pumpkin for everyone!

Pumpkin prices are from £1 for tiny ones to £10 for ginormous ones.

FUN ON THE FARM

As well as the pumpkins we'll have our huge bale mountain to climb (adults welcome!) so you can get the best view of the pumpkin patch. We also have our rope maize, pumpkin wash, toy tractors and lots of great photo opportunities, like our bale sofa and of course the famous pumpkin door! Don't forget to ask farmers Rob & David all your pumpkin growing questions!

FOOD & DRINK

We're thrilled that Julie & Co from Stable Pizza Co will be back this year serving their delicious pizzas!

The pumpkin cafe will also be open for teas, coffees and hot chocolates as well as soup (pumpkin of course) and home made cakes and bat buns!

FAQs

When are you open?
10am -4pm on 8th & 9th, 15th & 16th October and then every day 20th until 30th October.

Where are you?
Lodge Farm, Cundall, York YO61 2RN

Can I bring my dog?
Sadly you can't bring dogs for health and safety reasons.

How much does it cost?
Pumpkin prices vary from £1-£10 depending on size. This year entry will be ticketed so we can control visitor numbers and be covid secure - tickets are available now (click here to book) and the cost (£1 per person) will be taken off the price of your pumpkins. Everyone must have a ticket except babes in arms.

Will it be muddy?
That depends on the weather - if it's rained recently then yes! Check our social media for weather and mud updates!
If it's very wet we'd recommend leaving the pram in the car
but otherwise buggies are welcome and all the paths are wide enough for a buggy.

What shall I bring?
Wellies for all the family, gloves (pumpkins plants are spiky!), a camera (don't forget to share with us on social media!) and a strong bag to carry your pumpkins home as they may be muddy. Our pumpkins are already cut so you won't need to bring a knife or cutters (these are not allowed on site).

Do you take card payments?
We take card and cash (but no Amex sorry). Contactless payment is preferred.

What facilities are there?
We have parking on hard standing, toilets, baby change, a refreshment stall selling hot and cold drinks and snacks and straw bales for picnics.

Is there parking?
Yes, we have acres of parking, quite literally! Please keep to 5mph, all driving and parking is at your own risk, we accept no responsibility for accidents. Please park as you would in a supermarket car park (ie right next to each other!) to allow us to fit all the cars on the concrete!

Are pumpkins good to eat?
You bet! We've grown some crown prince pumpkins which are especially for eating as opposed to carving. Here are some great recipes to get you started!
